Sen. Ted W. Lieu measure returns to Senate for concurrence

SACRAMENTO – The California Assembly today promised new protections for animals by banning hunters from using packs of dogs to pursue bears and bobcats.

LOS ANGELES – Seniors and others interested in learning how to protect themselves from fraud related to home repair, insurance, finances, identity theft and more are invited to a free Aug. 24 workshop sponsored by Sen. Ted W. Lieu.

Scheduled to be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Felicia Mahood Multipurpose Senior Center at 11338 Santa Monica Blvd., in West Los Angeles, the event is one of series Lieu holds to help constituents protect themselves.

Measures must be approved prior to August adjournment

 SACRAMENTO – When this year’s legislative session resumes Monday, the nearly 1 million residents of coastal Los Angeles represented by Sen. Ted W. Lieu will find him fighting to protect children from sham therapies and consumers from predatory used-car dealers as well as creating jobs and saving California money.

Energy conservation and 'green' building will be key to fighting climate change, Sen. Ted W. Lieu told about 100 attendees during welcoming remarks as the kickoff speaker at the 3rd Annual Statewide Energy Efficiency Best Practices Forum held near LAX on July 19th.  

LOS ANGELES (July 19, 2012): The second 10-mile closure of both directions of the I-405 over the Sepulveda Pass, popularly known as “Carmageddon,” has now been scheduled for Sept. 29-30, 2012 when contractors will demolish the remaining side of the Mulholland Bridge.

Motorists throughout the State of California are advised to “Plan Ahead, Avoid the Area, or Eat, Shop and Play Locally” to avoid generating extreme auto congestion in the project area and throughout the greater Los Angeles region.
