The California Association of County Veterans Service Officers (CACVSO) has selected California State Senator Ted Lieu (D-Torrance) and Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla (D-Martinez) as the recipients of the Motomu Nakasako Legislator of the Year awards for 2012.  The awards will be presented next spring during the CACVSO Annual Day at the Capitol event.

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Jerry Brown today signed into law a Sen. Ted W. Lieu bill that significantly enhances California’s economic growth and global competitiveness. 

SB 1402 improves and extends the Economic and Workforce Development Program through the community college system, and more than $22.9 million was appropriated for this program in the 2012-13 state budget.
