Senate Bill 1402 extends the so-called Economic and Workforce Development Program, which trains community college students for jobs in sectors such as transportation, biotechnology, environmental technologies and health care.

SB 1402 improves and extends the Economic and Workforce Development Program through the community college system, and more than $22.9 million was appropriated for this program in the 2012-13 state budget.
