Veterans award Sen. Ted W. Lieu

SACRAMENTO (March 28, 2012) - Sen. Ted W. Lieu of Torrance is congratulated by Pete Conaty on receiving the Vietnam Veterans of America/California State Council 2011 Legislator of the Year Award. Lieu, a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserves, was recognized for his efforts to help veterans in 2011, including his co-sponsorwhip of SB 813 to help returning veterans attend college, stop pay abuses in the National Guard and stop protestors from disrupting military funerals.  "California needs more lawmakers like Sen.
