Sen. Ted W. Lieu to address educators, parents and students at annual ‘State of Education’ event
Redondo Beach event begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5
REDONDO BEACH – Supporters of public schools and stronger communities will join local educators and leaders, including Sen. Ted. W. Lieu, during an annual ‘State of Education’ event Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
Lieu is author of numerous bills supporting schools; his district includes Redondo Beach.
• WHO: Sen. Ted W. Lieu; Redondo Beach Unified School District leaders; Partners in Education; local parents, and students. In addition to Lieu, other expected speakers include: Anita Avrick, RBUSD Vice President; Mike Gin, City of Redondo Beach Mayor; and Dr. Steven Keller, RBUSD Superintendent.
• WHAT: A highlight of school district and community achievements.
• WHEN: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
