3rd Annual Statewide Energy Efficiency Best Practices Forum
The third annual Statewide Energy Efficiency Best Practices Forum will be held on July 19, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza at LAX, in Los Angeles, CA. At 8:30 a.m., Sen. Ted W. Lieu will kickoff the the day-long forum featuring several topics, including energy savings programs, state updates, and best practices for reducing energy use and greenhouse gases in your community.

Confirmed keynote speakers include CEC Commissioner Andrew McAllister; CPUC Special Advisor for Energy Efficiency Jeanne Clinton; CARB Science and Technology Policy Advisor Ryan McCarthy; and Senior OPR Planner Allison Joe.

The forum is hosted by the Local Government Commission through the Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative (SEEC) which provides support to cities and counties to help them reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save energy. SEEC is an alliance between three statewide non-profit organizations (ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, Institute for Local Government and the Local Government Commission) and California’s four Investor-Owned Utilities. It builds upon the unique resources, expertise and local agency relationships of each partner.

The forum also features several breakout sessions for participants

The forum is free the media and to California local governments, publicly owned utilities, the California Energy Commission, the California Air Resources Board and the California Public Utilities Commission.
