TORRANCE DAILY BREEZE: State Sen. Ted Lieu to speak during upcoming trade workshop at port

South Bay state Sen. Ted Lieuwill speak during an upcoming export and trade gathering hosted by the Port of Los Angeles.

The port's TradeConnect workshop for small and medium-size businesses will be co-hosted by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau.

The event is set for 1:30 p.m. July 19 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd.

"In order for California to remain competitive in a global economy, the state must have a plan to create jobs and promote California's competitive advantages," said Lieu, chairman of the Senate Labor and Industrial Relations Committee.
