Sen. Ted W. Lieu joins Gov. Brown at ceremony in support of nation’s first high-speed rail system

Measure is signed into a law

LOS ANGELES – Less than two weeks after joining the Senate in narrowly passing Gov. Brown’s vision for a high-speed rail network in California, Sen. Ted W. Lieu of Torrance today stood with the governor at a Los Angeles bill-signing ceremony and afterward released the following statement.

“For those who believe in the California dream, in our resources and our people, today is an historic reaffirmation that our best days are yet to come,” Lieu said about the project’s funding measure, Senate Bill 1029. “I applaud the governor for his vision and leadership to create jobs and move this state forward.”
