You’re Invited: Black Migrant Townhall on March 13

Friends & Neighbors,

The Office of State Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas warmly invites you to join us for an important and timely gathering—a Black Migrant Townhall dedicated to uplifting, supporting, and addressing the urgent needs of Black migrant communities across Los Angeles.

Date: Friday, March 13, 2026
Time: 12:30 PM PST
Location: Messob Ethiopian Restaurant, 1041 S. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90019

This special convening will be led by State Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas, Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI), and the California Black Power Network (CBPN). Together, we are creating a space where Black migrant leaders, community members, state representatives, grassroot organizers, and service providers can come together in dialogue, solidarity, and action.

Your voice, experience, and leadership are essential to building strategies, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring Black migrant voices and experiences are centered in policy and movement work.

We encourage you to RSVP and join us for this critical discourse. We look forward to welcoming you.
